We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The hotel itself is really nice with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food and service were very good. The shower was too weak and could be more powerful and also not hot enough. Also, the pillows were a bit too soft to get a good sleep. However this did not negatively impact our stay. The only thing I was disappointed with was the older woman on reception on checking out. She previously acknowledged the card machines were temperamental yet when my pay was not initially accepted she questioned if I had sufficient funds to pay for the room which I found to be very rude and insulting.

The staff were excellent and could not have been more helpful. Food was excellent and the dinner allowance just about covered two courses. The only downside was that there was only one chair in our deluxe suite - had we wanted to use the table, that would have been a problem. There was a two seater settee as well, but too far away from the desk or table to put down a cup. Cooked breakfast was superb - cooked to order, large portions and beautifully hot.

Not your typical twee Scottish Hotel. Very modern but also very welcoming. The staff were exceptional, especially the chef who catered for my partners dietry requirements both at dinner and breakfast.

Stayed for one evening with another couple. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful with extra little touches like home made short bread and fresh milk for tea. Beds were super comfy. Overall had a great stay and would go back again!

Not sure about the 5 star rating but we had a lovely stay here with welcoming, cheerful and extremely hard working staff. Our suite was really lovely (luxury suite 212) with very comfortable bed and excellent pillows. The downie was overly warm for this time of year but was very light and warm and would be perfect in cooler weather. There is a dining table in a little turret which was lovely to sit in and we ordered dinner in the room on one night to make the most of it. The room menu is somewhat limited and even then choices had to be checked with the kitchen to see if they were were actually available. The Thai green curry was rather heavy and very loaded with peas - not really Thai but okay. The sweet came with the ice-cream already on it so by the time the main was eaten the ice-cream had melted ( could have come separately and gone into the fridge to improve its chances). The restaurant provided an excellent meal - the scallops starter and duck mains were delicious but the panacotta was more of a thick cream dessert. There is a good wine list at reasonable prices. Service can be slow - our gins on the first night took 20 mins to arrive so we were almost ready to eat by the time we got them. This was probably because the dining room waiter was also the barman and was overstretched. We had packed lunches (included in our deal but these are expensive and there is a good village shop very close by) and they were an hour later than the requested time meaning that we had missed the train to Corrour so an alternative plan had to be made. Overall this is a lovely hotel but it is expensive if you are paying full price and certain areas could be improved. The situation is excellent with plenty to inspire outdoor activity. we travelled on a special offer which was very good value and would do so again if it was available.

The hotel has been recently renovated to a very high standard. Our room was spacious, very tasteful decor. We ate in the restaurant, and the meal was excellent. The staff were top notch; very professional and attentive. And in a region with some of the best scenery Scotland has to offer. The only thing I would change would be to keep the communal areas warmer.
