Very clean rooms and hotel in general. Excellent staff. Food good but could do with bigger menu. Excellent value for money.

This is for my hotel break.com only. This was a two day break after a long drive to chill before we headed to Plymouth for the ship to Spain. This hotel was very modern and clean. Opened 2021. However it was run like faulty towers. We had dinner first night. Staff member (young man)told us to bear with him as he was working himself because 4 members of staff had been given holidays at the same time. Opps by the management. No food or drink order was taken at this time. After about 30min wait. My wife decided to go to the bar and ask for a bottle of wine. After about another 5 minutes she went back and asked. “Will I come to the bar and get it” No was the reply we will bring it to the table. However once the staff member brought the wine ? to the table. The bottle was Not poured or opened when we quickly realised she had brought the wrong wine. Not to bother once situation was rectified and our food order was taken. We thought this will be fine. However after 90minutes and bottle of wine almost finished. I got up and spoke to a lady and asked her” Are we getting our steaks?” Blank look on her face. However ten minutes later steak arrived yippee ? I had to ask for complimentary glass of wine as we had finished. Shouldn’t needed to have done that. However an additional bottle arrived. ( matter resolved ) Manageress said male staff member was new. Hence the problem. ( Lies! You have given holidays to all the other staff and left the restaurant run by a novice?). Over the short break. I watched a staff member smash a glass which caused the glass to explode and the splinters to almost take out a guest because she was too lazy to walk behind the bar and get it. Another member of staff waltzing about doing nothing but feeling hard done to. We also discovered the real reason for our food delay because the JUST EAT orders were flying out the door. What a shame this s almost brand new hotel has a lot of untrained couldn’t be bothered staff working there. Oh they had a team meeting the following day to work out the issues and what when wrong. Lol. But if anything my hotel break you gave us a laugh with that hotel reservation.

Clean room but on the small side. Long wait to check in and longer wait for dinner on the first night. Very disorganised breakfast. No plates, no forks, no bacon. Only one member of staff trying to cover breakfast when others were about - no organisation. Functional for builders staying the night for work but wouldn't say it was a pleasant break otherwise. Could be so much better if a bit more than thought went into the running of the place.

Room was clean and modern. Situated on an industrial estate but we knew that before we went. Dinner was very nice and the staff were lovely, but the downstairs area wasn’t very clean. Beware of the wine prices, very overpriced! Breakfast was probably the worst I have experienced, we both said the same and didn’t eat it. All in all, an ok stay but wouldn’t return.

Lovely hotel - modern, clean and friendly vibe. Hotel staff friendly, approachable and very helpful. Nice bar, relaxing environment and we really enjoyed the breakfast selection. Will be back again

I got a good nights sleep. Receptionist very helpful and cleaners I saw in the morning met me with a big smile and said good morning. Low lighting in the rooms can make them feel very comfy and cosy. Enjoyed my stay

Fantastic stay, really helpful freindly staff, great price, food really good quality and reasonably priced. Well built hotel, couldnt hear comings and goings of others and dog friendly. Great stop over location ready for Newquay. Will visit again

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant serves amazing food, and again, the staff were lovely. The room was very clean, and there was plenty of room to walk around and put your things. Parking was good we always got a space.

Great overnight stop with EV charge points. Clean room, simple furnishing, good shower. Hot breakfast really good quality (nice surprise) and good coffee machine. (We didn’t use the bar in the evening but it seemed well stocked and popular with other guests, some of whom were also eating.) Would definitely go back

The room was spacious, and warm, the bathroom large and light, the shower hot and lots of room. The hotel was welcoming, bar area comfortable, food good.
