Things to see & do in Colchester

Colchester enjoys Britain's most continental climate - cold winters, hot summers, year-round sunshine and the country's lowest rainfall - which makes it ideal for growing roses and strawberries, and making exceptionally good English wine!

Students from all over the world study at the University of Essex and the English Study Centre, and - due to its excellent transport links - the town is very popular with visitors from the rest of Europe.
