Prestwick can be found on the coast  34 miles south of Glasgow and dates back over one thousand years.  It is more commonly know for is International Airport situated at the north end of the town. One of its most notable visitors has been Elvis Presley, who touched down in 1960 en route to Germany.

The first-ever British Golf Open Championship was held at Old Prestwick Golf Course in 1860. There are also a further two courses available for visiting golfers.
