Tourist Information & Hotels in the West Midlands

Birmingham, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, & Shropshire  make up the West Midlands often referred to as "the Heart of England" A blend of cities, market towns and quaint villages. The Heart of England is packed  full of iconic buildings, castles & gardens. It was the birthplace of William Shakespeare. There are fine golf courses, magical walks and strolls and  many other outdoor activities.

Shakespeare Country
Shakespeare Country is home to some of the UK’s most famous and iconic attractions.Charlecote Park, Compton Verney, Kennilworth Castle, Coughton Court, Ragley Hall & Blenheim Palace. Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon is home of Shakespeare’s Birthplace and Houses including Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and Mary Arden’s Farm, The Royal Shakespeare Company and many family attractions. The best way of seeing Stratford is the hop on and off City Sighseeing Stratford Tours, and there are scenic river cruisers taking about 45 minutes.  In Royal Leamington Spa you will find great shopping and beautiful Regency buildings.  The whole area is at the northern end of the beautiful Cotswold Hills, featuring many outstanding gardens and stately homes open to the public and home to art galleries and other exhibitions. 

Warwickshire
Warwickshire includes Coventry has the best of both worlds.  From the vibrancy and excitement of the city, to the peace and tranquillity of the countryside.  In Coventry you’ll find a unique environment combining everything from heritage to high street shopping, with plenty on offer by day and by night. Add in the surrounding historic towns and breathtaking scenery of Warwickshire and ... what more could you ask for?  Whether you’re looking for serious history, retail therapy, or a night on the town, Coventry & Warwickshire has it all.

 The Black Country
The Black Country affords easy access to all, whether by rail, road, canal or air. Located due west from Birmingham. This coupled with a vast range of different attractions – from art to culture, history to countryside; nature to sport and canals to shops and entertainment.
Places worth visiting are:  Black Country Living MuseumDudley Zoological Gardens  and  Sandwell  Valley Country Park & The New art centre and leather museum in Walsall. 

Shropshire
Tucked away on the English and Welsh Border, Shropshire is a real surprise as there is so much around and about to do. For a start there are over 32 castles - a legacy of Shropshire's border heritage, Shropshire is also the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution at Ironbridge with 10 hands-on museums to explain it all. Shrewsbury, birth place of Charles Darwin, is one of England’s finest medieval towns and still very much intact and home to the longest running flower show in the country. Shropshire’s gastronomic capital, Ludlow, with its castle is home to a terrific food festival and more delicatessens and hostelries than you can shake a bread-stick at. According to Charles I Bridgnorth simply has the finest view in England. Take the cliff railway and see for yourself. There’s the Royal Air Force Museum, at Cosford bear Telford and best of all it’s free admission!  Other places of interest are: Burford House & Gardens, Carding Mill Valley for great walks & Views. Hawkstone Hall - gardens, park and golf course and Shrewsbury Castle & Museum
