Nice accommodation but unfortunately they don’t make the rooms up unless you request it unusual for a 4star hote

Mr Muthu must try harder !!! When a guest complains of noise in their room caused by workmen ( 6.15 pm) receptionist please don’t look disbelievingly .When you say you’ll pass on a request to arrange another room ..please do so. When someone walks into your room around 12.30 pm ( yes the door was locked ) do,try to look concerned , we were distinctly uncomfortable !! .Being told later that some guest had n the master key for all the bedrooms was a tad un nerving . Things to keep the food warm at the buffet breakfast would be a big advantage, sorry I quite like warm bacon , eggs etc .Maybe shifting the coffee machine from the leisure centre to the breakfast bar would also greatly improve things for those of us who like coffee ..or even a simple filter machine . The urn stored coffee was more reminiscent of a not very good canteen . Re the general ambiance, well lots of ott chairs and vases in the lobby, however the bar felt like a school hall .Perhaps some updating with comfortable chairs / tables .Oh and on the bar, a list of prices would be good so that guests can have some idea of prices ..having the price double for the same round within the space of an hour was a tad confusing . Sorry Mr Muthu be staying in any of your hotels elsewhere in the world .Once was quite enough

Excellent value - the public areas all look great and very comfortable, leisure facilities are very good - the pool is excellent. So basically all the bits that have already been updated. And the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The food was excellent both dinner in the restaurant and breakfast the next morning. The pool is also really good. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were great.

Food in restaurant is really good, brekki was lovely and fresh. Staff very helpful. Rooms especially the bathroom a bit tired. Been coming here for a couple of years as there are a group of us. Spa gets very overbooked. Tried to book 2 months before we arrived but couldn't get an appointment until 4 hours after checkout. Was only 2 treatment rooms, not really enough for the size of hotel

if you are the kind who wants loud shouting, noise, thumping music everynight...this is not the place for you. That is exactly why we LOVE The Belstead Brook Hotel. It is a perfect place to relax and chill out. The staff are friendly, and you know it helps if the customer can raise a smile and be polite too. The room was very nice, french doors with the small balcony in the exec room. The evening meal was delicious, brvice bit slow but we think she is new member of the staff but very polite. Excellent swimming,jacuzzi and gym facilities. Though bathrooms are bit dated and would be great with just changing taps & shower head & a fresh paint. We met Pulkit(hope i spelled right) very professional we met him as we had some issues with Breakfast on Saturday morning. He handled it in a perfect manner and made us believe it is just one of them saturdays as sky is not always blue. This is an ideal place to go to just recharge your batteries and to just enjoy a break. We are certainly going to visit again !!!

We didn't use the spa or gym as we were out every day but we couldn't fault our ground floor standard twin room which was spacious, clean and quiet. Reception, corridors and the public rooms we saw were also clean and welcoming. We had table service with white table linen and our evening meals were nicely presented with good portions. (five star hygiene rated) At times the service was a bit slow but the limited staff had to look after a full restaurant every night. They were pleasant and patient under difficult cirstances at times for which they were blameless. Breakfast is buffet, help yourself and perfectly adequate. OK, so there isn't any evening entertainment but this suited us. However, because the hotel is in the middle of a housing estate which has been built around it over the years, there is nowhere to go for a stroll in the evening, (The local bus service serves the area well so we hear.) The hotel does have a few acres of ground to walk around so were weren't trapped! To conclude, this hotel, like many others is looking to keep costs down without compromising standards. It isn't easy. The building needs updating and employing a couple of extra staff would help and encourage people to return. By the way, we cannot praise the staff we met enough, from cleaners to waiters and in between, who were unfailingly pleasant, helpful and hard working. We hope that the management/owners appreciate their efforts.

The hotel was very good with a lovely welcoming fire just off reception; leisure facilites good although the pool area was out of action for three of days we were there; extremely helpful and friendly staff; location good for suffolk coastal towns. Marked down on food because buffet breakfast was luke warm at times and no menu offering choice of perhaps kippers/poached eggs,etc. We only knew as we had checked on line. We certainly go back again and have not hesitation in recommeding this hotel.

Excellant stay, staff made the visit very enjoyable. A couple of suggestions would be 1. chairs on the lawn so that as well as opening the french doors of the rooms you can sit outside, 2. Ensure that the leisure centre as the accessories to go with the sunbed facilities (Tanning Lotion) However it was a very pleasant stay

We were delighted! The room was extremely spacious with comfy seating and bedding. The hotel's character was charming, a step away from the usual "chain hotel" ambiance. Dinner was delicious and very good value for money. The restaurant was oozing in character - wooden panelling which looked to be original. Breakfast was more disappointing in terms of choice and standard. The swimming pool was delightful although the changing rooms were not terribly clean. The gym was adequate. All told, very good value for money and we hope to return.

we had a lovely 4 days, the hotel is exactly what you would expect, the breakfast was excellent the staff were attentive especially housekeeping who went the extra mile for me, my only critism is the standard in the bar, lager was served in beer glasses which is unacceptable as head keepers are needed, this needs to be addressed, especially paying those prices for a pint of flat lager

Bedroos are a little dated but clean. Food is outstanding. Refurbishing of pool changing rooms taking place so had to changed in disabled toilets which were a little dirty.
