BEDROOMS _ 7 / 10 SERVICE _ 8 / 10 FOOD _ 6 / 10 STAYED _ 10 Oct 2009 | Steven Murrell said the following about Argyll Hotel: A nice hotel, with great rates. A word of advice - if staying on weekends request the Clyde side of the hotel, due to a nightbclub on the opposite side! |

BEDROOMS _ 10 / 10 SERVICE _ 10 / 10 FOOD _ 10 / 10 STAYED _ 15 Aug 2009 | A guest said the following about Argyll Hotel: We had a great stay at the Argyll Hotel, the room we had was very spacious with great views of the Firth of Clyde and the food was excellent with a good choice. The dining room could do with a little background music to take away the whispering and eating sounds. We would definately recommend this hotel and will be staying there again. |

BEDROOMS _ 8 / 10 SERVICE _ 7 / 10 FOOD _ 1 / 10 STAYED _ 8 Aug 2009 | A guest said the following about Argyll Hotel: The Argyll is an impressive and traditional hotel overlooking the pier and situated in the heart of Dunoon. The hotel has an unimposing entrance and reception but is pleasant with a small lounge, bar and dining room. The bedrooms were clean, bright, tastefully decorated and comfortable.
The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and did their best to be helpful. The hotel does not have it's own carpark and visitors have to park in the street or over at the public carpark (without charge).
Unfortunately, the hotel is badly let down by it's food which offers poor variety and quality for a 3 star hotel. Therefore visitors should take the bed and breakfast option and eat elsewhere in the evenings.

BEDROOMS _ 9 / 10 SERVICE _ 8 / 10 FOOD _ 7 / 10 STAYED _ 30 Jun 2008 | A guest said the following about Argyll Hotel: This hotel has recently changed owners and they have upgraded all of the rooms to a very high standard. I was expecting the 'usual' welcome and room style of an established Scottish seaside town hotel (indifferent staff, inferior single room, dated style etc.) but the Argyle was a very pleasant surprise. My room (129) resembled something a top London hotel would offer. Modern furnishings, Tropical rainshower in the bathroom, Flat screen tv. high quality bedding and pillows...it certainly was a pleasant discovery. The menu in the RIO restaurant looked very appetising and value for money. Definitely recommend this hotel.

BEDROOMS _ 9 / 10 SERVICE _ 10 / 10 FOOD _ 9 / 10 STAYED _ 28 Jun 2008 | A guest said the following about Argyll Hotel: In a higher tourist season it might have been more difficult to find a place to park, but we were lucky to have a place close by on the street. The front desk was very hospitable and helpful. The Tourist Information Bureau was very close by which was handy and had a very good, knowledgeable staff.

BEDROOMS _ 9 / 10 SERVICE _ 10 / 10 FOOD _ 8 / 10 STAYED _ 19 Mar 2008 | A guest said the following about Argyll Hotel: Stayed at The Argyll Hotel in Dunoon for a couple of nights, got to say it was very resonable price and the food was great. It was the first time i have visited Dunoon, great advantage being in the centre of the town at The Argyll everything is at your doorstep. I really recommend this place because all the people in the hotel are so friendly not just the staff but other members of the public also must be the air. My wife and I were treated very nicely indeed nothing was a problem for the staff they helped always. The breakfast was always hearty the true Scottish way and also was served by a lady that has devoted her working years in this hotel.
I will definately go back for another visit when i can find the time.
Keep up the good work!!!

BEDROOMS _ 8 / 10 SERVICE _ 9 / 10 FOOD _ 10 / 10 STAYED _ 17 Nov 2007 | A guest said the following about Argyll Hotel: Came here for a nice quiet weekend with my girlfrind as it was her birthday. Right when we walked in the door we were made welcome by the excellent staff. The reception area was very well decorated and the receptionist was very helpful.
The overall size of the room was average and had all the standard facilities. Tea/Coffee, Hairdryer, and some satellite channels, but we never seemed to stay in the room too much anyway.
The food that we had in both the Italian Restaurant and the main restaurant in the hotel was first class. The service was quick and the food tasted excellent. The homemade Steak Pie has to be one of the hotel's best dishes.
Without a doubt, I would certainly come back to this brilliant hotel.
