One of the Argyll Hotels most popular rooms is room 26 the Tower Room. Many believe this to be the hotels honeymoon suite but in fact it is a twin bedded room, but with windows on three sides. It is a magnificent setting and offers a panoramic view of the whole Clyde Estuary.

Excellent road network from Glasgow makes easy to reach Argyll Hotel in Dunoon, exit the M74 at junction 4. Follow signs for Glasgow centre M8. Continue on M8 to Greenock and then A8 to Gourock (27 miles from Glasgow ).
There are 2 ferry services from Gourock to Dunoon, Calmac and Western Ferries. Calmac runs every hour and docks at Dunoon pier adjacent to The Argyll hotel. Western Ferries has a more frequent service to Hunter's Quay, a 5 minutes drive to the Argyll and is considerably less expensive.
For a scenic and leisurely drive, you can follow the alternative route A82 via the Erskine Bridge and Lomond National Park to reach Dunoon by road following A815 (70 miles from Glasgow ).
