BEDROOMS _ 8 / 10 SERVICE _ 10 / 10 FOOD _ 8 / 10 STAYED _ 16 Apr 2010 | A guest said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: The hotel was perfectly sited at the side of the Loch, views were spectacular. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and although the ensuite was clean it could do with some upgrading i.e re grout and new bath panels. The staff were very helpful and obliging and one in particular Lee was outstanding in his service and dealings with customers. Good hotel, good food, good staff and would recommend hotel to friends and family. One word to hotel management give Lee positive feedback about his delivery of service as it was 1st rate and would not be out of place in a 5 star accommodation. Thank you for sharing your hotel with us. |

BEDROOMS _ 0 / 10 SERVICE _ 0 / 10 FOOD _ 0 / 10 STAYED _ 30 Mar 2010 | A guest said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: Over the past six years have experienced many hotels in the area. The Ilse of Glencoe hotel is by far the best we have expeienced. The whole package was first class. ALL staff were most friendly, helpful and welcoming. Nothing was a bother. The catering was the best we have experienced both for choice and quality. My wife and I feel we have found a hotel which we will most certainly be returning to on a frequent basis. |

BEDROOMS _ 3 / 10 SERVICE _ 8 / 10 FOOD _ 3 / 10 STAYED _ 27 Mar 2010 | Karen Donoghue said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: My first thought when i arrived is that your advertising is very misleading. The pool is tiny in reality and while your ad shows someone on a sun lounger relaxing next to the pool, this simply is not possible due to the size. The beds are the most uncomfortable i have ever encountered and i am still paying for it with backacke 4 days after leaving. Two others in my party also suffer from backache so we all had a really terrible time trying to sleep. On the first night our beef was very overcooked, but other than that food was ok. The staff were very helpful and the location is beautiful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and cannot be faulted in this area. |

BEDROOMS _ 7 / 10 SERVICE _ 6 / 10 FOOD _ 5 / 10 STAYED _ 26 Mar 2010 | T Bradford said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: Too few staff on the Sat.Meal took from 6.30 to 8.30 and the children were tired waiting. They ran out of ice-cream!?! Pork was the driest poorest I've ever tasted. Food mainly good tho., and staff were great but overwhelmed, not their fault. You got the feeling they did not know they were going to be busy. |

THE ONLY NEGATIVE COMMENT WE WOULD HAVE IS THAT THE BATHROOMS LOOKED TIRED AND COULD BE DOING WITH SOME UPGRADING. |

Good sized twin room with spectacular views across the Loch. Good facilities within room and hotel, and good standard of cleanliness throughout. Has small hotel pool and sauna which were free to access and were also lovely and clean. Main meals were excellent, excellent menu (we went DBB) and also choice of breakfast styles. Staff friendly and helpful. Also on site parking and hotel within 5 mins walk to Ballachulish amenities. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to others. |

BEDROOMS _ 8 / 10 SERVICE _ 8 / 10 FOOD _ 6 / 10 STAYED _ 3 Jul 2009 | Jane Sutherland said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: We had lovely ground floor rooms with doors that opened onto the lochside - perfect for the kids and for relaxed socialising with other members of our group. The hotel itself was very family friendly and the staff, in general, had a relaxed attitude towards children. The food was a bit hot or miss - some dishes were lovely and others were disappointing. Indeed, one roast lamb dish was barely edible. Overall, we spent a very enjoyable and relaxed weekend here and would happily come back again! |

BEDROOMS _ 10 / 10 SERVICE _ 10 / 10 FOOD _ 10 / 10 STAYED _ 22 Apr 2009 | Margaret Smith said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: Our break at the Isles of Glencoe was absolutely marvelous. Having booked it through an 'offer' in the newspaper we were expecting a basic room - this was not the case - the room we had was lovely with french doors opening onto fabulous views over the lochside.
Food was first class as was the attentive service of the staff.
We had previously stayed at Ballachulish Hotel on the same kind of offer and were disappointed with the room - but, again, service was first class.
Finally our break was highly enjoyable and we would not hesitate to come back again and again to this particular hotel.
Thank You. |

The staff were always helpful and knowledgable about the local area, Josephine's history lessons were great at increasing the knowledge of the history of the area. We will be back!
The only negative, and it is a slight one, is that some of the room furniture is begining to show its age with worn seat coverings but as we were out a lot it was no big deal. Well done to everyone. |

BEDROOMS _ 7 / 10 SERVICE _ 8 / 10 FOOD _ 8 / 10 STAYED _ 15 Apr 2009 | A guest said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. On the nights we stayed the pool had only a couple of adults in it after 8pm so perhaps they should relax the rules and allow older children who wish to swim into the pool. |

BEDROOMS _ 7 / 10 SERVICE _ 10 / 10 FOOD _ 8 / 10 STAYED _ 13 Apr 2009 | Catherine Docherty said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: We had a very enjoyable stay at The Isles of Glencoe Hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Although the hotel was busy it didn't seem overcrowded and was very relaxing. The location is stunning with a wonderful view at every turn and the weather was glorious too. We will go back.
The only criticism we might have is that the organisation at breakfast was a bit footery. There were 2 different areas from where to help yourself. Could we suggest that the juices could be in the cold food section rather than the hot, or in both, or try and arrange the space better so that everything is in the one place. |

BEDROOMS _ 10 / 10 SERVICE _ 10 / 10 FOOD _ 5 / 10 STAYED _ 26 Feb 2009 | Sandra Campbell said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: This is the third time we have stayed at the above hotel. We really enjoy our stay there but find the food portions very small and we also feel one small side dish of potatoes and vegetables between two people not enough when its £22.50 per person for dinner. The times we have stayed, if you wanted beef you had to select this from another menu and were charged £8.50 on top of this for chosing this other option as my partner did, baring in mind you had alread paid the £22.50 for dinner, if its not on the menu and you don't like fish, lamb or pork its chicken every time. |

BEDROOMS _ 10 / 10 SERVICE _ 10 / 10 FOOD _ 10 / 10 STAYED _ 21 Jul 2008 | A guest said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: First of all, I was on a weeks holiday in Scotland and this hotel was one of the highlights! It was fantastic. The view was out of this world, the room was big and clean, great facilities and the staff were great. The pool area has a sauna, jacuzzi, and the temperature is really nice and warm (well it's cold in the highlands). The only negative I'll give is this - Do NOT eat dinner in the restaurant. Don't get me wrong, the food is lovely, but the portions are tiny. I had a fish pie, which was about 2" x 4", I had anchovies to start and only got 2 tiny ones. Me and my partner has 3 courses each and a bottle of wine, it came to nearly £70, and when I got back to my room I ate chocolate and pork scratchings because I was still starving. I think they use the fact that its a remote area to pump up their food prices, and lower the amount of food you get. So I was disappointed.HOWEVER, do not let this put you off, there's places to eat around if you don't mind driving a little. This is a fantastic hotel, I know we had a room on the nice side of the building, but I'd hate to see this place get a bad review. Its lovely |

BEDROOMS _ 8 / 10 SERVICE _ 10 / 10 FOOD _ 8 / 10 STAYED _ 21 Jul 2008 | A guest said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: Double room was very clean and spacious with stunning views over the loch. Hotel staff were very friendly and polite. There was a massive choice of food available at breakfast, better than a 5* hotel I've just visited. Dinner portion sizes were very small but the food was tasty. Swimming pool was lovely, very clean. Beautiful walks nearby and handy for other places of interest. Careful of the midges - got bitten to death! Would definitely stay again - couldn't fault it really.

BEDROOMS _ 10 / 10 SERVICE _ 10 / 10 FOOD _ 10 / 10 STAYED _ 9 Jul 2008 | A guest said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: After experiencing overpriced and shabby places on our drive through western Scotland, the Isles of Glencoe Hotel was exactly what we needed. Our room in this chalet style hotel was modern, spacious and very comfortable, the bathroom more than adequate. Service, whether in the restaurant, pool/jacuzzi area or at the front desk, was always warm, friendly and professional. Free wireless broadband was included. But the most spectacular feature of the room, and of their excellent restaurant, was the view! Wow, this is what one imagines when dreaming of the Highlands' Mountains and Lochs.I must also compliment their restaurant, which is situated in a conservatory with those picture perfect panoramic loch views. We had a three course meal for two (inluding some beautiful smoked salmon and smoked halibut), a bottle of an excellent Sicilian Nero D'Avola, and coffee - all for under £45!Breakfast buffet was extensive, a big spread quite uncharacteristic of a 3* UK hotel. Individual cafetierres added a nice touch. The location was perfect for a nearby trekking (e.g. Devil's staircase) and ice wall climbing in Kinlochleven. After those exertions, the pool/sauna/jacuzzi area was a great place to relax tired muscles, at no extra charge.Take it from a fussy old so-and-so, this place is really a steal

BEDROOMS _ 8 / 10 SERVICE _ 8 / 10 FOOD _ 8 / 10 STAYED _ 8 Jul 2008 | A guest said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: Booked this hotel primarily for location - we werent dissappointed. We were allocated a room on the ground floor with doors out onto the garden over looking Loch Leven - perfect! Dinner was exceptional on both nights and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only let down was the cooked breakfast. On both mornings the food was tasteless and very greasy. However we managed to fill up on the fresh fruit, cereals and pancakes instead but it would have been 10/10 if the breakfast was better. All in all, a fantastic stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to get away from it all & take in some spectacular scenery

BEDROOMS _ 10 / 10 SERVICE _ 10 / 10 FOOD _ 9 / 10 STAYED _ 28 Jun 2008 | A guest said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: Stayed at this hotel for a long weekend with my other half. This hotel is perfect for a romantic weekend away. Location is so peaceful and idealic. Staff are very attentive, friendly and will go out of their way to help you.Hotel room has beautiful views of the loch. Room is very spacious and has chairs positioned at the large windows so you can appreciate the views. Windows have excellent black out blinds so you don't wake up at the crack of dawn.We had booked DBB for our whole stay. Restaurant is in a conservatory overlooking the loch - beautiful! The menu changed each night but there was a limited choice of main courses (I think only 4). Dishes were delicious - would definitely recommend the restaurant.Basic but adequate swimming pool. Unfortunately, pool had to be closed for one afternoon during our stay - but staff were so apologetic and arranged for problem to be fixed within a few hours. We had an excellent stay here and will definitely be back

BEDROOMS _ 10 / 10 SERVICE _ 10 / 10 FOOD _ 9 / 10 STAYED _ 24 Apr 2008 | A guest said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: Nice location on the shore of Loch Leven between Glencoe and the Ballachulish bridge. The hotel was very clean and well maintained throughout. The room was larger than average at this budget, as was the immaculate bathroom, both containing everything you would expect and nothing you wouldn't. Having an exterior door opening into the hotel garden leading to the Loch was a pleasant surprise. The staff were friendly and welcoming and were happy to dispense travel advice including warnings of roadworks in the region.Although we did not use the hotel restaurant for dinner the cooked buffet breakfast was excellent in both choice and quality. The dining area was as clean as the rest of the hotel and features a conservatory area with views of Loch Leven.I would definitely use this hotel again and would be happy to recommend it to anybody.

BEDROOMS _ 8 / 10 SERVICE _ 8 / 10 FOOD _ 8 / 10 STAYED _ 17 Apr 2008 | A guest said the following about Isles Of Glencoe Hotel: Hotel at the end of Glencoe, about 15 minutes drive from Fort William.Staff very nice and very friendly. The food was very good and there was a good choice available. Bar prices very reasonable - the same or less than I would pay in a pub in Glasgow.Room big enough with 2 windows overlooking the loch and mountains. The hotel was fairly busy for a sunday - tuesday in April. A good mix of young & older couples and families. There is a pool and sauna etc and a childrens playpark. This was very good value for what we got.
