The 32 bedrooms in the Moorings Hotel are en-suite and have colour TV with satellite, radio, tea/coffee making facilities, direct dial telephones, hair dryer and a laundry service. DVD players are available in family rooms.

The Moorings Hotels individually designed rooms also offer panoramic views of Ben Nevis, Neptune's staircase and Aonach Mor at all times of the year.

Guests can now choose between a standard rooms or opt for a new superior, which offer spectacular views, spacious living areas and a choice of twin or king sized beds. 

Opened in the summer of 2015 the Executive Bedrooms are designed to the highest possible standards with luxurious en-suite bathrooms some of which are fitted with rainfall showers. Full length windows offer exceptional panoramic views of Ben Nevis and the Caledonian Canal whilst some of the rooms also benefit from their very own balcony. There really is no better place to sit back, relax and watch as the boats pass through the famous Neptune’s Staircase.

The Moorings Bistro
The Moorings Hotel Bistro serves freshly prepared home-cooked dishes every evening from 5 pm until 9.30 pm. Lead by our Head Chef, Ross McCulloch, and his kitchen team we endevour to use the best of local and Scottish produce to have a seasonally changing menu.

We are pleased to offer the old favorites of Haddock and Chips and our Homemade Moorings Burger as well as some new creations of Venison Meatballs and Oxtail Cheek. We also offer prime Scottish Beef Steak with Fillet, Sirloin or Rib-eye from our chargrill.

The Bistro offers friendly and relaxed service, perfect for a great night out with family, friends or business colleagues.

The Moorings Hotel Cafe is a perfect spot to meet up during the day. Enjoy a freshly brewed coffee or tea and admire the stunning Highland scenery. We serve an extensive light lunch menu during the day including hearty soups, freshly prepared sandwiches, paninis and baked potatoes. We also offer a selection of wonderful home-baking by our resident baker ‘Cathie-Ann’ who provides an array of cakes, scones and home-bakes. The Moorings Cafe is the perfect place to be.

Mariners Bar
The Mariners Bar can be reserved for your own private get together with family and friends, perfect for parties, birthdays, gatherings & family celebrations. The Mariners Bar has an open fire and is totally self-contained where you can enjoy your celebrations with a buffet and drink in private. 

Upper Deck Lounge Bar
Extremely popular with locals and visitors alike, our lounge bar is informal and relaxing where you can enjoy a quiet drink on a split level with wood panelling and stained glass, it offers a large selection of wines, malts, liqueurs, spirits and beers – including real ale.

No visit to Scotland would be complete without sampling a ‘wee dram’ of uisge beatha or ‘the water of life’. The Moorings Hotel has a fantastic collection of malt whisky on offer and even has its own 10 year and 30 year old Malt whisky.

From the A82 take the West for 1 mile. Take first right over the Caledonian Canal onto the B8004. The Moorings hotel is just along the road on the right.

The Moorings Hotel in Fort William is great base to stay if you are interested in the great outdoors as the Nevis Range is right on the doorstop and offers skiing breaks, snowboarding and sledging - the best views can be seen by taking the gondola trip to the top of the range.

For less energetic breaks in Fort William why not visit the West Highland Museum or sample the local brew at the Ben Nevis Distillery. One of the most popular attractions in this area apart from Ben Nevis is the Jacobite Steam train that takes you from Fort William along the stunning West Highland Line across the Glenfinnan Viaduct, used in the Harry Potter films, to the harbour village of Mallaig. Fort William is at the end, or the start of the West Highland Way - a 100 mile walk on paths to Glasgow.
