Each of the Palace Hotel's 110 bedrooms is of a very comfortable size. As with any traditional and modern building, there are a selection of period and contemporary bedrooms. And to go with the age of the hotel the period bedrooms are different sizes and offer a selection of Classic or River View rooms with character, high ceilings and period features. The contemporary bedrooms offer comfortable classic & superior rooms for you to relax. For a room with a view of the river, you must book the River View Room type.

River View Rooms
They are all front-facing period bedrooms with lovely views of the River Ness and the Castle. All these rooms are individual due to the age of the hotel so they offer lovely decor, quality soft furnishings, ensuite, free wifi, flat screen tv and newly upgraded bathrooms. Decorated using Farrow and Ball colours, from burnt orange and chocolate to subtle highland heather tones in each room you’ll enjoy stunning views of the River Ness & Inverness Castle.

River View rooms are individual you can choose a king size, super king size or even a twin bedroom and it includes little extra touches like mineral water and shortbread in your room. The River View Room is perfect for a romantic break or if you want a large period bedroom with sash and case windows and high ceilings. River View Rooms are a room upgrade which you can book for an additional £50 per room per night. Please note we cannot guarantee River View rooms unless you have booked this room type as they are very popular. If you have booked a Classic room and you want to upgrade just contact us to add this to your booking please do this in advance, the rooms cannot be guaranteed on check-in.

Family Rooms
All families are very welcome at the Palace and if you want the family to sleep peacefully, ask for the inter-connecting bedrooms. Or alternatively, you can enjoy a Double Double room which offers 2 double beds or the third option is our Family Double Room with Single Bed

Wake up in the morning to the 54-choice Hot & Cold Scottish Highland breakfast buffet. It is one of the best things about staying at the Palace – your breakfasts never get smaller. From healthy fruits, nuts, cereal and eggs to the more hearty full hot Scottish breakfast buffet freshly cooked so you can enjoy as much as you want including Campbells Haggis! Open weekdays 7am-9.30am and weekends 8am-10am.

Relax and enjoy the refurbished Eight on the River a stylish modern dining experience for you to enjoy. Eight overlooks the River Ness and Inverness Castle a perfect situation for winter and summer dining. Open from 6 pm-9.15 pm and from May to Sept 6 pm-10 pm.

The Daily Menu & Inclusive Menu are carefully crafted to offer a selection of local produce each evening from fresh prawns, to Scottish Lamb to delicious desserts. With the plush new interior decor boasting a rich purple carpet and banquet seating with contrasting deep green furnishings and rich cream curtains it is really is designed to be easy on the eye and very relaxing. You’ll enjoy a lovely relaxing dinner with a good selection of wines to complement the menu.

You can also choose from a mouth watering selection of cakes, sandwiches and homemade soup each day in the hotels cafe.  You just need to sit down on the soft leather sofas, open the newspaper and enjoy your coffee or relax in the window watch the River Ness run by.

Leisure Club & Gym is Open Daily from 7am to 9pm - pre-booking is not required. You can enjoy the Club at the time that suits you. The Palace Gym now offers the latest fully integrated Technogym Wellness System and Visio platform for your away from home workout. For all Sleeping Beauty Spa treatments please book in advance and check with the Spa direct.

Car Parking:
There are 22 spaces in the hotel car park. If the car park is busy when you arrive, you can drop off, then park your vehicle close by using on street parking which is free from 5pm to 10am on some streets, directions can be given. Local parking charges vary up to a maximum £5 for 24hrs. Valet parking is available for £10 per stay. Electric car charging is also available.
