The Boat Hotel in Boat of Garten is situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, in classic Speyside, offering Highland scenery and rural tranquillity. At the foot of the Cairngorm Mountains, the Boat Hotel overlooks the famous 18 hole Boat of Garten golf course, and lies adjacent to the beautiful River Spey. The Boat Hotel also overlooks the Strathspey Steam Railway that takes visitors to Aviemore on a old fashioned Steam train. Due to its proximity to Aviemore and the Cairngorm Mountains, the Boat Hotel makes a great base for a skiing break.

The Boat Hotel offers warm hospitality and 22 comfortable, individually decorated bedrooms ensuring you a relaxing stay. Each room has big beds, luxurious furnishings and well-equipped bathrooms. All rooms are ensuite, with colour tv, telephone, hair dryers, tea and coffee making facilities. The Boat Hotel also has a choice of Superior Rooms or Suites. The suites are furnished to a very high standard with allow guests to relax and enjoy a very spacious room with stunning views of the mountains or golf course. The suites also have DVD players, music systems, iron and ironing board, bathrobes, hair dryers and stand alone bath and shower.

 

The Boat Hotel's Osprey Bistro provide an excellent choice of dishes in a relaxed and lively atmosphere. There is also over 40 Single Malt Whiskies and a fabulous selection of international wines to sample.

The Capercaillie restaurant is a fine dining experience and has received 2AA Rosette Award every year since 1999 due to imaginative cuisine and the use of the best local ingredients. The Capercaillie restaurant offers guests an intimate and peaceful atmosphere.

Breakfast is served from: 8am - 10am

The village of Boat Of Garten is known as the "Osprey Village" due to when ospreys returned to Scotland in the 1950s the largest number of them returned to this village. There is now a splendid visitor centre for people to find out more about ospreys and other wildlife of the area. The championship Boat of Garten Golf course is next to the hotel and permits can be obtained for salmon fishing on the mighty River Spey

Boat of Garten is easily accessible from the main A9 road, with nearby connections for bus, rail and air travel. The village lies six miles north east of Aviemore, between the B970 and the A95.
Travelling by car from the South (Edinburgh, Perth) on the A9, turn right, off the A9 at the Grantown on Spey / Carrbridge junction (North of Aviemore). Follow the signs for Boat of Garten / Strathspey Steam Railway.

Travelling by car from the North (Inverness) on the A9, turn left off the A9 at the Carrbridge / Grantown on Spey junction. At Carrbridge follow signs for Strathspey Steam Railway (B9153)
