The Chateau La Chaire Hotel in Jersey lies on the edge of Rozel Bay fishing village and is ideal for both luxury holidays and short breaks. This 4 star country house hotel in Jersey is recognised by the major travel guides as one of the finest small luxury hotels.

There are just 13 bedrooms and suites at the Chateau La Chaire Hotel. Each bedroom have been individually furnished and is distinctive in style. All rooms are of course en-suite however most of the superior rooms and suites also have spa baths.

The 2 rosette awarded 'La Chaire' Restaurant is renowned for its local fresh fish & seafood and is a popular destination for many locals and visitors to the area. A lot of the fish is delivered straight from the harbour at Rozel ensuring the best quality available. Relax at any time in the traditional oak panelled cocktail bar and enjoy bespoke cocktails created by the passionate mixologist.

All rooms have a large selection of high quality personal comforts which includes bathrobes and slippers, Penhaligon's toiletries, Smart TV, hairdryer, iron and board and Free WIFI access.
Also included is an honesty mini bar in every room along with complimentary mineral water , all included within the room rate.

Each of the rooms takes the name of a popular flower.

Most Superior rooms and suites are located on the first floor with the Classic rooms being on the second. Superior rooms are larger and many feature themed beds such as four posters or testers. Classic rooms vary in shape and size due to the location. After all, we are a large house and not a purpose built hotel.

Or why not try Daisy (Room 12), with a lovely rolltop bath right at the end of the bed.

The team of chef’s believe that local produce, cooked creatively and well is the heart of a good restaurant. And that’s what they do at Chateau La Chaire. One of the great things about being in Jersey is all of the great local growers & producers in the area to work with and that they chef’s are spoilt for choice which means that you will be too.

The restaurant offer a high quality A' la Carte menu and a set menu of 4 courses plus coffee and homemade petit fours

The restaurant is a fine oak panelled dining room and also has a private function room for up to 18 persons. The dress code is smart casual.

The traditional Sunday Lunch menu is served between 12.30 - 2.30pm.

Raymond's Cocktail Bar

The handmade infusions and syrups add to the superb flavours and presentation. We'll even serve you a bowl of popcorn whilst you sample the wares and enjoy the soothing background music. A little bit of Jazz, maybe some piano or a little Cafe de Paris on occasion.

In the summer months you can even enjoy the sunshine on the Terrace and be served your favourite tipple. Don't worry if cocktails aren’t your thing. We are lucky to have one of the best stocked bars among Jersey hotels and we are sure that whether it is a craft beer, liqueur with your coffee, your favourite scotch before bedtime or just a glass of wine or champagne - we've got it at Raymond's.

The Rozel Pub & Dining,
The Rozel Pub & Dining is just a short 2-minute walk from the Chateau La Chaire Hotel. This country pub not only offers great food but has a wide selection of wine, beer & ales to enjoy in this warm and welcoming country pub.
Established in the 1870’s this traditional pub is the perfect place to relax with a real ale and enjoy a game of chess or bar billiards.
Guests visiting The Rozel Pub & Dining can enjoy home-cooked food in the dining room from a menu offering traditional pub food with local seafood and daily specials.

Directions to Chateau La Chaire Hotel in Jersey

Exiting the airport

As you exit the airport go straight ahead on the roundabout heading for Beaumont / St Helier. (If you have a car booked with Avis Hire Cars, after collection turn right onto the main road on leaving the car hire depot.)
Keep on that road until you reach another roundabout and turn right in the direction of Beaumont / St Helier.
At the bottom of Beaumont Hill you reach a filter in turn junction, turn left and keep on this road along the coast which brings you to St Helier.
You have reached St Helier when you see the Grand Hotel on your left and a “up-side-down” ship shaped restaurant on the right. Stay in the middle lane heading for the Tunnel and the East. This will bring you over several traffic lights, an underpass and finally a tunnel. (Do not take the road with the sign “The East, Coast Road)

Exiting the Harbour from the ferry terminal
On leaving the harbour go straight ahead on the first roundabout (all directions) and turn right at the second roundabout heading for the tunnel / the east.
Keep in the middle lane that brings you through the tunnel.

After the tunnel keep in the right lane and head straight on at the roundabout in the direction of the East.
Keep on that road until you reach a second set of traffic lights where you turn left heading for the North /Five Oaks.
Following the middle lane that brings you through two sets of traffic lights over a junction to Mont Millais.
Head up hill for Five Oaks, going straight on the roundabout (at the Five Oaks Garage) and follow the signs for Maufant / St Martin.
Keep on that road until you reach a t-junction with a church (St Martin’s Parish Church) opposite. Turn right and immediately left (at The Royal Hotel Pub) heading for Rozel Bay.

Follow the road until you reach another t-junction and turn right again.
Stay on the road till you come to a bay (Rozel Bay) at the bottom of a hill. Turn left at the Rozel Bay Hotel Pub into a small road heading back inland.
After the bus stop you find the Chateau la Chaire car park on the left. The hotel itself is located on the right hand side at the top of the steps. For those with walking difficulties limited parking is available next to the Chateau La Chaire hotel if you continue up hill and take the first on the right.

At the hotel & in Rozel Bay...

  • The hotel has both a ladies and gents mountain bike for guests use FREE OF CHARGE for the day subject to availability
  • A range of board games is available in the drawing room including trivial pursuit, scrabble, chess etc.
  • The hotel is surrounded by 7 acres of woodland which you can walk around. The area offers some great views over Rozel Bay and the coast of France 14 miles away. Please note that being built within a valley there are some fairly steep slopes either side.
  • The hotel is just two minutes walk from the seafont at Rozel Bay and its small fishing village. Head down to the 'Hungry Man' on Rozel Pier for a cup of tea or an ice cream.
  • If you really can't find enough to do in Rozel there is a bus stop right outside the hotel at Apple Cottage from where you can take the number 3 into St Helier for a bit of shopping or head anywhere else around the island.
