The Buchanan Arms Hotel in Drymen has been one of the main hotels in the Loch Lomond area for well over 100 years. A former coaching inn standing in the heart of the picturesque conservation village of Drymen, the hotel really absorbs the ambience of the beautiful surrounding countryside and nearby Loch Lomond. There is whole host of things to see and do in this area. You can cruise on Loch Lomond, walk part of the West Highland Way or tour the Trossachs. The city of Glasgow and Stirling are only 30 minutes away. A variety of local outdoor activities are also available, from relaxing to challenging - on foot, on horseback, on wheels and on water. In 2008 the hotel completed a major refurbishment in the public areas and banqueting suites. The Buchanan Arms Hotel offers great late deals and special offers on short breaks throughout the year. The club has excellent ladies and gents changing rooms with high-pressure showers, lockers and other facilities. They are furnished in a modern style to provide an invigorating atmosphere after a strenuous workout, ready to revitalise you before you return to the outside world. Towels are provided for by the club as well as other necessary toiletries.
Whatever you choose to do, the fully trained staff are there to take care of you.

The extensive menus offer an interesting choice of traditional Scottish and a few International favourites. All are chosen and carefully prepared by The Buchanan Arms' skilled team of chefs. The chefs also prepare special dishes daily.

Loch Lomond area and Queen Elizabeth National Park are on the doorstep of the hotel, so there is an abundance of activities available from the Go Ape Assault course to sailing on Loch Lomond. Fishing, cycling, golf are all available.It is great walking country too with the West Highland Way passing the hotel From Glasgow centre (distance 17 miles) Follow signposts to Aberfoyle A81. At the Bearsden Cross round about take the A809 to Drymen, which is signposted from then onwards. From Glasgow Airport (distance 25 miles) Take the M8 to Glasgow , follow exit signs to Clyde Tunnel and then follow signs to Aberfoyle A81. At the Bearsden Cross roundabout take the A809 to Drymen, which is signposted from then onwards. Rush Hour Alternative - take the M8 to Greenock and follow signposts to Erskine Bridge. After crossing the bridge take the A82 to Loch Lomond. Close to reaching Loch Lomond follow the signs to Balloch, which will take you on the A811. Continue along this road and Drymen will be signposted not long after. From Stirling (Distance 23 miles) Follow signposts to Loch Lomond and A811 and you find Drymen along this road, signposted after approximately 15 miles. From Edinburgh (Distance approx 55 miles) Leave Edinburgh on the M9 to Stirling and take exit 10 following the tourist route signs to : Loch Lomond , this will take you to the A811 and Drymen is signposted after approximately 15 miles along this road.
