The Best Western Buchanan Arms Hotel & Spa in Drymen has been one of the main hotels in the Loch Lomond area for well over 100 years. A former coaching inn standing in the heart of the picturesque conservation village of Drymen, the Buchanan Arms Hotel really absorbs the ambience of the beautiful surrounding countryside and nearby Loch Lomond. There is whole host of things to see and do in this area. You can cruise on Loch Lomond, walk part of the West Highland Way or tour the Trossachs. The city of Glasgow and Stirling are only 30 minutes away. A variety of local outdoor activities are also available, from relaxing to challenging - on foot, on horseback, on wheels and on water.

At the Buchanan Arms Hotel, guests can choose from one of 52 beautiful, expertly serviced rooms all individually decorated with individual 'personalities'. Each room was refurbished in 2010 and has a unique, traditional ambience with every contemporary comfort, perfect for relaxing short breaks.

As you might expect of a hotel so blessed in its setting, fresh local produce is the speciality here at this Loch Lomond hotel. The extensive menus offer an interesting choice of traditional Scottish and a few International favourites. All are chosen and carefully prepared by the skilled team of chefs. The chefs also prepare special dishes daily.

The Buchanan Club is one of the area's leading venues for a holistic lifestyle, providing both active and relaxing pursuits to help combat the stresses of modern life. Loch Lomond area and Queen Elizabeth National Park are on the doorstep of the Buchanan Arms Hotel, so there is an abundance of activities available. Selections of these are from the Go Ape Assault course to sailing on Loch Lomond, fishing, cycling and golf. It is great walking country too with the West Highland Way passing the hotel.

Drymen is also only approx 9 miles from Loch Lomond Shores, which is a gateway to Scotland’s first National Park. Directions to Buchanan Arms Hotel, Drymen

From Glasgow centre (17 miles approx)
Take the signposts to Aberfoyle A81:

From Glasgow Airport (distance 25 miles)
Take the M8 to Glasgow, follow exit signs to Clyde Tunnel and then keep to the signs to Aberfoyle A81:

Then - At the Bearsden Cross round about take the A809 to Drymen, which is signposted from then onwards

Rush Hour Alternative - take the M8 to Greenock and follow signposts to Erskine Bridge. After crossing the bridge take the A82 to Loch Lomond. Close to reaching Loch Lomond follow the signs to Balloch, which will take you on the A811.

From Stirling (Distance 23 miles)
Follow signposts to Loch Lomond and A811:

From Edinburgh (Distance approx 55 miles)
Leave Edinburgh on the M9 to Stirling and take exit 10 following the tourist route signs to: Loch Lomond, this will take you to the A811:

Then - you find Drymen along this road, signposted after approximately 15 miles
Guests on a dinner inclusive package are entitled to 3 courses from the Table D'Hote menu. If you wish to dine from the A La Carte choice menu you are are entitled to a food allowance of £19.95 per adult. Any exceeded allowance will be charged as a supplement to your room account.
