In the Library Bar there is a fine array of malt whiskies to tempt you, or a cocktail or two, as you while away an hour or so under the framed prints and memorabilia that recall the Golden Lion’s 18th century origins as a coaching inn. Directions to Golden Lion Hotel in Stirling
Leave the Motorway at Junction 9 and follow the signs for Stirling (A91) and then onto Stirling (A905). Carry on Kerse Road (A905) until you reach Craigs Roundabout. At the roundabout take the second exit to the left past the Thistles Shopping Centre Car Park. You will Approach a set of traffic Lights, just before the Bus Station, which will appear on your left. At these lights go straight ahead, and again at the next set of lights. On approaching the next mini roundabout, turn left and go up the small hill towards the town centre. At the top take a left into Murray Place, in the main shopping centre. At this point you will approach some “No Access” signs, you need to PASS STRAIGHT THROUGH THESE TO GET TO THE HOTEL (There is a disclaimer at the bottom of the sign allowing access to the Golden Lion Hotel) Once you pass through the signs you need to turn right into the car park entrance which is approximately ½ way along the street, after the Imperial Cancer Research Shop and before the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Shop.
Please note that these directions take you to a back entrance to the hotel and its car park, so you will not see the hotel at this point.
