Fuelled with passion and vision, the world-renowned golfers Sam Torrance, Bruce Devlin and the legendary Gene Sarazan, pursued the challenge of sculpting the beauty and character of the existing landscape that lies just two miles from St Andrews, the Home of Golf. The result of this work has been the creation of two magnificent championship golf courses. The Torrance and The Kittocks wind their way around the 520 acre estate, encapsulating the majestic Fairmont St Andrews which stands protectively overlooking the historic town.

The Torrance Course re-opened in July 2009 following an extensive refurbishment program; it offers a challenge to both amateurs and professionals alike. Host to the 2010 Final Open Qualifying and Scottish Seniors Open in 2010 and 2011, the improvements on The Torrance Course were conducted under the direction of golf course architect Gary Stephenson and former Ryder Cup Captain Sam Torrance. With eight holes redesigned, the course now offers a great test and multiple
risk/reward opportunities on many of the holes. The deep revetted bunkers and links design makes The Torrance one of Scotland's most dramatic and challenging courses.

The Kittocks Course originally opened in 2001 and designed by Bruce Devlin. The coastal course has recently been upgraded to consist of 18 challenging holes with spectacular panoramic views of the Eden Estuary and North Sea. The Kittocks Course with its dramatic views and undulating terrain can be played from four sets of tees, with golf buggies available, making it ideal for players of all abilities.
