The Kings Manor Hotel can be found in the Eastern suburbs of Edinburgh, The family owned and managed hotel is only a few hundred yards from Potobello beach yet only 10 minutes drive from Edinburgh city's main attractions and shops.

The Kings Manor Hotel has 95 tastefully decorated en-suite rooms which are designated as non- smoking rooms.

6 of the rooms that are usually furnished for a family of four (one double bed and two full-sized single beds) can have an extra single bed fitted into these rooms to accommodate a family of five.

The hotel has thirteen rooms on the ground floor for those with mobility problems and three rooms fully adapted for use by unaided wheelchair users. Most of the rooms are served by the lift. If you have any problems with stairs please let reservations know when you book.

These rooms were recently built to the highest specifications and include attractive design and 21st Century comfort and facilities. All of the club rooms exceed the minimum size for 4-star bedrooms and all have digital flat screen tvs with Freeview channels and some satellite channels, there is also a playstation consol for game playing and playing DVDs and CDS ( Games, DVDs and CDs are not provided)

The Kings Manor has two main bars and two restaurants, all of which are fully airconditioned and designated as non-smoking.

The Rosemount is a small intimate bar, recently remodelled in a contemporary style whilst retaining old fashioned charm and comfort. The Rosemount is situated adjacent to the reception area and was once 'Mother Superior's office' in the days when the hotel was a convent. It is the ideal spot for a pre-dinner drink or a late night 'bleather' over a few 'drams'.

The BarZest is an altogether different atmosphere where 'locals' and hotel guests mix in a bright Glass-fronted bar, with outside seating areas and a range of bar food, BarZest has a lively atmosphere. It is open all day

Options Bistro is a popular eating place with a wide range of favourites such as steaks, pizzas and salmon as well as more unusual items such as char grilled vegetables with risotto and tomato salsa. Options is open from 10am to 10pm with its delicious bakeshop menu in operation 3 to 6pm.

Lauders Restaurant is traditional in many ways - offering an extensive a la carte menu with many traditional favourites as well as more contemporary dishes. A wide range of wines are on offer. The food could best be described as contemporary European. Lauders offers traditional standards of hospitality and service. As well as lunches and dinners, both continental and full Scottish breakfast are served here.

The Kings Manor Hotel is served by a main bus service to Edinburgh city centre, so you can leave your car safely in the car park throughout your stay. If driving, The Kings Manor Hotel is also only a few minutes from the Edinburgh city bypass.

The Kings Manor Hotel can arrange golf breaks as it is close to several Open Championship qualifying courses. The Hotel can also arrange a visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia.

 

The hotel is just 200 yards from the main A1 south and just over ½ a mile from the city bypass that links Edinburgh with the rest of the country. Edinburgh Airport is on the west side of town and can be reached by skirting the city centre using the bypass or by the airport bus to the city centre which links to the main public transport system.

The Metro station is only 200m from the hotel, with regular service into Princes Street in the heart of Edinburgh.

Dog or Cats allowed - Hotel must be notified before arrival if bringing pets. A nominal charge of £5 per pet per night is made. Official Hearing Dogs, Guide Dogs etc are of course excluded from this charge.

If you are booked on a dinner,bed and breakfast break, there is a dinner allowance of £23 per person which can be used either in the Bistro or from the A la Carte menu in the restaurant.
