Bedroom was spacious and clean, curtains just a bit moth-eaten.Service and food were very good.Disappointed however not to be able to have a swim before leaving as were told we were not allowed after checking out at 11, where in all other hotels we have been afforded this service.

We are currently upgrading all of our bedrooms and have just recently completed 20 bedrooms. The remaining 18 rooms will be completed by October whereby all curtatins will be replaced. I can only apologise about not being able to use the pool after check out, however this is our policy and due to the health club having a high number of members, it is important to balance the use of the pool with hotel residents and members. I do hope this wouldn't detract you from returning in the future. Dated decor,dirty and smelly in places,cold bedroom,no atmosphere whatsoever,not a memorable xmas break.We booked for 2 nights Dinner/B&B,2nd evening of our stay we were informed that dinner would be a buffet.This "buffet" consisted of leftovers from the "xmas package" earlier that afternoon,as for breakfast-if you like the "full scottish" stewing in its own condensation then fine.The hotel car park was under around 5 inches of snow and was a real hazard with no real attempt made to grit/salt the area for hotel guests.I am staggered how this hotel gained such high reviews.For me its a hotel in decline and nothing would tempt us back.

Very comfortable & good value for money. Only niggle - the only dog-permitted room available had a wet-room shower, no bath, and the whole floor wet after a shower. Very good pool and gymn facilities. Would recommend the hotel, which is in the restored village, so lots to see.

Lovely setting, but some parts of the hotel could do with an update (stairwells). The pool area was too cold to relax in. Very dissappointed in dinner on the 2nd evening. The staff were very helpful.

Disapointed we were told we would get an upgrade.This did not happen First we were allocated a disabled room on arrival ,after complaining the room was changed.This was ok.Service we downgraded because there was a bus party in and all was concentrated on them.Breakfast buffet was very nice when we eventually got it.Staff were very slow to fill up when items ran out.Other than that it was a lovley hotel and a very enjoyable break.

We booked our stay after looking on the classicbritain web site a party of four my wife mother in law father in law and myself.We stayed Thursday and Friday dinner bed and breakfast we could not fault any part of our stay and must say we go away on lots of short stay breaks this hotel staff are by far the most pleasent and helpful we have experienced.One small comment I got a disabled room which for me was no good as it did not have a bath but a wet room and also the booking said we would all get a room upgrade at this hotel this did not happen

The hotel is clean, comfortable and staff are very friendly. The location is fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the food. The scallops that were ordered had curry on them - unnecessary. Everything was quite salty, and luxury cream tea had sandwiches that were like doorsteps! But apart from that it was EXCELLENT and have recommended it already. Thank you Classic Britain also for fast, reliable, uncomplicated brilliant service and offers. First Class!

The hotel and the surroudings are beautiful. Unfortunately, the service in the hotel left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, our room was not ready so we went to the bar for lunch. Service in the bar was extremely slow. When I booked the hotel, I was told we would get a room upgrade. However, when we did get our room, we found we had been given a room with facilities for the disabled. That in itself was not a problem. However, the "wet room" is designed for wheelchair access, so there is no bath and the shower did not adjust above shoulder height, making it totally impractical. Only after we complained were we given another room. In the restaurant, most of the waitresses were young girls who did not have a clue about anything on the menu. Service was also extremely slow - on the second night, we waited almost an hour between our starter and our main course and yet at no time did anyone offer an explanation or an apology.

Staff very friendly, bar area a little small. Evening meal was lovely although took over 2hrs to have 3 courses and left before coffee. maybe because there was a wedding on, staff were maybe busy with the wedding party, leaving the dining room slightly understaffed. music was also quite loud when trying to sleep went on until 12pm.. Apart from that had a lovely time and would definetly consider going back.

The hotel,food,room and staff were all lovely. We enjoyed our stay our only one complaint was that we could not open a window in the room we were allocated and we sleep with a window open. An excellent hotel where all the staff were so pleasant and nothing was a problem. The leisure facilities were of a very good quality and exceptionally clean. Food was of avery high standard, well presented and plenty to eat. visited hertiage centre which needs at least 5 hours to do it justice and shouldn't be missed. We will be back.

The New Lanark Mill hotel is a beautiful, comfortable hotel with friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant menu while good is perhaps a little over-reaching, fussy eaters will struggle to find something suitable...but the bar menu has plainer food which is very good and they are happy to serve you from that in the restaurant. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The Spa area is very user friendly as well. Finally, I cannot praise the friendly and hospitable staff enough. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were delightful people.
