Take the self drive Grand Tour of Scotland visiting some of the country's famous destinations and attractions on this 7 nights / 8 day self drive car tour.

We have put together this short self drive idea for you but the hotels can be changed to suit.

To book: - please go to the 1st hotel you would like to stay at and enter your date. You will then be asked if you would like to add a 2nd hotel, just book as you did the 1st hotel and so on.

Glasgow - Fort William: On route to your 2nd destination why don't you stop off at one of these destinations: Strathclyde Park, housing Scotlands biggest theme park - M & D's. The Famous Stirling Castle or even a trip to Bannockburn, alternatively, enjoy the scenic route by passing Loch Lomond and stop for some refreshments at the many cafes and bars.
2nd Night	3* Cruachan Hotel	Fort William	Ben Nevis, Caledonian Canal, Beautiful Scenery.	Nevis Range, Glen Nevis Visitor Centre, Glenfinnan Monument, Treasures of the Earth
Fort William - Inverness: On your way to the Capital of the Highlands you can stop at the Commando Exhibition and take in the stunning scenery. Your drive onwards will take you to Loch Ness where there is a visitor centre. Urquhart Castle is also a popular visitor attraction on the banks of the Loch.
3rd and 4th Night	3* Waterside Hotel	Inverness	Shopping, Museums, Entertainment	Inverness Museum & Art Gallery, Eastgate Shopping Centre, Culloden Moor Visitor Centre, Fort George.
Inverness - Ballater: After your stay in Inverness you can travel the 'Whisky Trail' which includes the famous Glenfiddich and Dalwhinnie Distilleries. After this you can stop off and see Balmoral Castle before the remaining short journey to Ballater.
5th Night	3* Loch Kinord Hotel	Ballater	Entertainment, Castles, Aberdeen, Shopping	Aberdeen Amusement Park, The Mall Shopping Centre, Castle Fraser
Ballater - Edinburgh: On your route south you can arrange to do some activities including White Water Rafting, at Nae Limits. For the less adventurous, why not visit the famous Glamis Castle, a 5 star visitor attraction.
6th and 7th Night	3* Royal Ettrick Hotel	Edinburgh	Castles, Nightlife, Shopping, Eating	Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street, The Royal Mile, Palace of Holyrood House, Edinburgh Zoo.
Edinburgh has many things to see and do. These also include Royal Yacht Britannia, Deep Sea World Sealife Centre, Kings Theatre and Playhouse Theatre. Many traditional pubs for lunches and modern bars for cocktails means everybody can have a good time.

Low season rates from £292pp and High Season from £307pp. These prices include dinner bed and breakfast at each of the self drive hotels. The rates do not include entry to any attractions and there may be single room supplements in hotels.
