Scotland has five great skiing areas - Glencoe, Glenshee, The Lecht, Cairngorm and the Nevis Range.Classic has hotels conveniently located for each of them. We have outlined the highlights of each skiing area below, and suggested hotels which are near to the slopes, and cater for the skier, providing drying room facilities and ski and boot room.To make a booking, please click on the hotel name you are interested in and book from the skiing hotel's own page.

Glencoe

Glenshee   Glenshee Snow Forecast
Glenshee has the largest lift system in Scotland, with runs spreading over three valleys and four mountains. It offers easy runs for beginners, a good selection of runs for intermediate skiers and the Tiger run for the experienced. The centre is located between Braemar and Blairgowrie.

The Lecht   Lecht Snow Forecast
The Lecht is renowned for a family-friendly approach to skiing, with classes for adults and children, and plenty of fun activities for non-skiers. Although advanced runs are more limited, this resort is sheltered and often stays open when bad weather closes others. The Lecht is situated near Tomintoul.

Cairngorm   Cairngorm Snow Forecast
This is perhaps the best known of Scotland's ski resorts, with a good range of other sports and activities as well as ski schools, equipment hire and on-mountain restaurant. It also has the recently completed funicular railway. The ski centre is located near Aviemore.

Nevis Range   Nevis Snow Forecast
Access to the slopes is via Scotland's only Mountain Gondola, a breath-taking ascent with an alpine feel. Nevis Range offers the highest skiing in Scotland with modern facilities and a variety of slopes. Nevis Range has the longest run in Scotland, over 1 mile in length. Fort William is the nearest town, less than a 10 minute drive away.
